This diving experience is for those who would like to try diving before doing the full Open Water course. Discover scuba diving is a one-day course starting with a short lecture on the basic physics of diving, dive safety, and skills. Once the lecture is completed a session in shallow water is required. Here you get comfortable with the equipment and practice a few skills.
Now you are ready for a shallow, coral reef dive off a boat in the open water! Your instructor will be with you every step of the way from kitting up until the end of you're first scuba dive.
To participate in the Discover Scuba Diving program you must be 10 years or older and medically fit to dive (download medical statement in PDF format - click here). After completing this experience you will be credited as having completed section One of the Open water dive course and may only dive under direct instructor supervision within 12 months of completion.
The Discover scuba diving experience costs R1000.00.
